Birthday Special! These eye-grabbing PICS of Nyra Banerjee will surely make you go weak in the knees
To bounce back in the showbiz world and make an impression, a lot of hardwork, effort and firm determination is needed. When celebrities lose their star status, industry folks tend to write them off easily and that has been the order of the day in Indian cinema. Very rare that we come across individuals who manage to keep their past failures behind and sweat it out to regain the lost glory. Take the case of popular actress Nyra Banerjee for instance. Despite having all the qualities of what it takes to be a successful commercial heroine, Nyra couldn’t make it into the top league of Telugu cinema owing to unknown reasons. However, she managed to survive in the showbiz arena by making it big with the limited opportunities she got.
Presently occupied with the popular Hindi TV serial ‘Divya Drishti’, Nyra Banerjee has recently directed and starred in a short musical called The Virus Within. Confined to her living space amid these lockdown times, she is celebrating her 33rd birthday on Thursday. Scroll down for some of her alluring pics.
Hailing from a Bengali household, Nyra Banerjee was born and raised in the city of Mumbai. During her childhood itself, she learnt Hindustani classical music, Ghazal and Kathak. While crooning a children’s song at a recording studio, she was spotted by noted director G. V. Iyer who signed her for the role of Sita in the Hindi television serial Kadambari. However, the director died and the project failed to materialise. During her junior college, Nyra acted in a series of TV serials including the one by K Balachander and anchored in a TV channel.
Nyra Banerjee made her celluloid debut by playing a cameo in the 2009 Bollywood film ‘Toss’. She continued her journey by portraying the leading lady in three consecutive Telugu films which include ‘Aa Okkadu’, ‘Saradaga Kasepu’ and ‘Mouna Ragam’. Especially, her matured performance and eye-popping glamour in the Vamsy directorial struck the right chord with the masses which eventually resulted in good footfalls at the theaters. Before attempting her maiden Hindi project as the female lead, she played a cameo in Ram Charan’s ‘Orange’.
