Kalidas Jayaram teams up with Miya for his next

‘Poomaram’ actor Kalidas Jayaram, who has won the hearts with his performance in movies like 'Mr. & Ms. Rowdy' and 'Argentina Fans Kaattoorkadavu', is all set to step into his next. The actor is now collaborating with Miya George for his next.

The yet to be titled movie is directed by Vinil Varghese and the film has begun with a puja function that was held at Three dot studio, Ernakulam. Kalidas’ dad and popular actor Jayaram graced the event and lit the lamp and officially announced the movie. Miya, Kalidas, filmmaker Lal Jose, and a few others were present at the function.

Gimi George (born 28 January 1992), better known by her stage name Miya, is an Indian actress and model who predominantly works in Malayalam Cinema, along with a few Tamil films. She started her career as an actress by playing supporting roles in television shows. She made her film debut by playing short roles in the films Doctor Love and Ee Adutha Kaalathu. She was selected the Kerala Miss Fitness in 2012 and played her first lead role the same year in the Malayalam film Chettayees.

The movie is bankrolled by Sreejith KS and Blessy Sreejith, under the banner of Navarasa Films. It's the maiden production venture under the banner. Kalidas will be seen in the lead role while Miya will be playing the female lead. The movie will go on floors by the second week of March. The initial schedules will be in Ernakulam and later, the team will move to Chennai. Meanwhile, Kalidas will be next seen in ‘Backpackers’, a romantic drama directed by National award-winning filmmaker Jayaraj.
