Jr NTR's Dammu co-star Karthika Nair shocked after receiving electricity bill of Rs 1 lakh, calls it a 'scam'

From the past few months, we all have been staying indoors and have been practising social-distancing to protect ourselves from the outspread of the deadly coronavirus. Celebs too, who used to hardly get time to stay with their family and spend quality time with them, have now received the much-needed time. Amidst all this, there were several reports about the huge electricity bill that people were receiving. Even a few celebs were a part of this. Earlier, actor Prasanna had lashed out at his electricity department and now, it's Karthika Nair who has faced a similar situation.

Taking to social media, Karthika tagged the electricity department of her area and lashed out at them for sending a bill of Rs 1 lakh. She wrote, "So what kind of scam is @Adani_Elec_Mum conducting in mumbai? June electricity bill close to 1lakh... (based on their "estimates" since they could not do meter reading during lockdown) hearing lots of similar complaints from Mumbaikars.@AdaniOnline @CMOMaharashtra.”

Soon, the electricity department tweeted asking the actress to click on a link and share her contact details. Post which, her fans also shared similar stories about receiving high bills. To make things light, the actress also commented on her post saying, "Lol wish it was my hotel bill but this is my house bill."

Talking about Karthika's professional front, apart from starring with Jr NTR and Trisha Krishnan in Dammu, the actress also played a lead in Josh opposite Naga Chaitanya which released in 2009. She made her debut with the same movie. Post which, she starred in Tamil film Ko, which gave her the desired fame and was her first successful film.
